Apron helps local communities thrive by creating vibrant natural spaces where people come together to learn, share and grow. We offer intergenerational arts and crafts workshops, cultural heritage events and inclusive pop-up sessions in venues across our town.

The Apron Community Garden in Shoreham-By-Sea offers a diverse range of inclusive community sessions, workshops, events, and volunteering opportunities.

Sussex Craft Week 2025 is the first edition of a new festival of craft to celebrate Sussex’s place as the hub of contemporary craft revival, and the home of heritage craft. It will be held 14-22 June, in venues across East and West Sussex.

Apron Community Garden is taking part with local artist and maker Anna Twinam Cauchi who will demonstrate the uses of willow as a heritage craft material on the 20th June.

This event will include the opportunity to learn traditional methods of willow weaving for basketry and functional forms including garden obelisks and plant supports.
